Tara gets her Yellow Belt

Hi All. Last night (Tuesday) Tara took her first belt – 9th Kyu, Yellow.

The judging panel of the Buntingford Karate Club were all very impressed with her ability to keep her core and her level top line. By this I mean that when she moves her head remains at a constant level. This due to being able to control your hara (a level situated near your navel and which works in conjunction with your centre of balance). This is very rare in a beginner and is often only achieved after a few years of training.

Her movements and technique were very precise and we could tell that she was thinking her way through it. A very good grading very well executed.
