Rick gets his next grade

Hi there. Last night (Tuesday) Rick went for his 2nd Kyu (Brown Belt + 1 white stripe) at the Buntingford Karate Club. Rick is a very strong man and he works out with weights at a gym. When he first joined us I had a bit of a challenge in reining him in because of his natural power. However Rick has worked very hard at controlling this because he admitted to me that he did not want to hurt people. Well it has paid off because he turned in a very very creditable performance at his grading with a level of control that should be envied by most of us in Martial Arts.

So here are some pics of him proudly wearing his belt and also taking some friendly stick from some of the members of our club.
