Double Grade for Terry
Hi Folks. I have not blogged for a couple of weeks as I have been busy at home and in “pushing” my “DON’T PANIC” Self-Defence lessons.
However, last Tuesday Terry had put in enough effort and practice that I said I would take him for a grading. Terry is a fit man and throws himself enthusiastically into his training so it was no surprise to me that he did the same with his grading.
The last time he graded (for 9th Kyu Red Belt) he made some silly mistakes and certain techniques were not right. He had taken this away and worked on them and at his grading for 8th Kyu Orange he had overcome all of the past problems. He did such a good grading in fact that I double graded him to &th Kyu Yellow. So here he is proudly displaying his new belt colour. Well Done Terry!
We have had some further interest from people wanting to join the Buntingford Karate Club and these new contacts have been as a direct result of this website. Hopefully they will enjoy their Karate and Self-Defence with us and stay for a long while.
Please check out how to contact us and also check out our closure dates for Easter.
Sensei Bill.

My name is Kam
I have deeply missing Karate training and I would like to come to carry on training . I have had trained in the past both in Sweden and England. In Sweden I reached up to 5KYU
However I was placed for 7Kyu in England. Now it has been 8 years since I stopped the training . I would love to come back at the same time I will shall be very delighted if can get to do double grading till I reach my 5KYU . Is possible ?
HI Kam, I am terribly sorry but I have completely missed you on this contact page. Do forgive me.
Unfortunately you have not said where you live, but if you live near Buntingford (we are in Hertfordshire) then you are more than welcome to come and visit us and ask whatever questions you like about us. Try contacting me on e mail stayalivenow@hotmail.co.uk.
I am always ready to welcome people into the club and, if you join us, I would be happy to grade you when you are ready for it. In our club I only grade students when they are ready and this is not decided by a certain amount of lessons or money that they may have spent. It is based on an individual’s ability and dedication to this Martial Art. You might double grade, and although this does happen from time to time, it is an unusual occurrence.
I hope this helps.
Apologies again for the very late response.
Sensei Bill Hooper.
